I’m Tim Hirschel-Burns. I’m a graduate of Swarthmore College and I’ve been extensively involved in STAND: The Student-led Movement to End Mass Atrocities. I served as National Policy Coordinator, Mid-Atlantic Regional Organizer, Policy Intern, and STAND’s Emerging Conflicts Coordinator. I have also been involved in Amnesty International and interned at the Michigan Department of Civil Rights. In the past I’ve studied development for a semester in Dakar, Senegal and interned at Global Reseach and Advocacy Group. I am interested in development, poverty, and mass atrocities as well as activism, political advocacy, and NGOs. This blog aims to explore efforts to change global problems, with a main focus on rich country policy towards these issues. Views expressed on this blog are solely my own and in no way represent those of my employer. Follow me on Twitter at @TimH_B. If you want to contact me, email me at email@example.com.
